Real Estate Loan Underwriter
F&A Federal Credit Union (F&A) has an exciting new opportunity available in our Real Estate Department. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Loan Underwriter in our Monterey Park office. The position will underwrite loans according to applicable guidelines; and underwrite subordination requests considering risk position and member support. Position will also require support of compliance procedures.
The Candidate
The successful Real Estate Loan Underwriter will have the following essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of credit union principles and procedures and member service philosophy.
- Knowledgeable in real estate loan processing procedures and requirements.
- Knowledge of lending principles and procedures, and service philosophy.
- Knowledge of investor guidelines (Government Sponsored Enterprise).
- Knowledge of Federal Regulations relating to mortgage lending, including but not limited to, RESPA, TILA, TRID, HMDA, etc.
- Thorough compliance knowledge of loan processing, from loan origination to funding as it pertains to underwriting.
- Thorough knowledge of underwriting.
- Knowledge of appraisal analysis.
The Qualifications
The minimum qualifications we are looking for:
- 3 or more years related experience and/or training.
- Financial Institution / Credit Union experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). AA or BA degree preferred

Loan Servicing Representative
F&A Federal Credit Union (F&A) has an exciting new opportunity available in our Loan Servicing Department. We are currently seeking an independent and highly motivated Loan Servicing Representative in our Monterey Park office. The position is responsible for delivering exceptional member service via telephone, mail and email while assisting members with lending products and services and providing comprehensive general and administrative support to the Loan Servicing department.
The Candidate
The successful Loan Servicing Representative will have the following essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of credit union principles and procedures and member service philosophy.
- Knowledge of impound and escrow accounts, insurance tracking and property taxes.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Computer and software proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Financial)
- Accurate typing/data entry and processing of data; ability to work on a PC for 6-8 hours per day
- Ability to evaluate, plan, and prioritize work effectively for the branch and staff
- Must be adaptable to different and changing situations and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
The Qualifications
The minimum qualifications we are looking for:
- One to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Ability to be bonded and to retain bond ability

DMV Specialist
F&A Federal Credit Union (F&A) has an exciting new opportunity available in our Consumer Loans Department. We are currently seeking an independent and highly motivated DMV Specialist in our Monterey Park office. The position is responsible for providing support for vehicle loans, title, and payoffs, answering member and employee inquiries, preparing, and verifying Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) forms, receiving, and posting payoff checks, and handling release of titles for paid in full loans.
The Candidate
The successful Loan Servicing Representative will have the following essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of credit union principles and procedures and member service philosophy
- Computer and software proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to work on a computer 6-8 hours per day
- Accurate data entry and processing of data
- Must be adaptable to different and changing situations and solve problems
- Courteous, friendly, and professional behavior
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
The Qualifications
The minimum qualifications we are looking for:
- Minimum one-year experience DMV processing.
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Ability to be bonded and to retain bond ability
