What happens at the end of the Certificate’s term?

Once your Certificate has reached maturity, it will automatically renew at the current rate, or you can elect to:

  1. Invest in a new F&A Certificate
  2. Deposit your money into an F&A Checking or Savings Account
  3. Withdraw your money

Can I withdraw my money early?

If you withdraw funds from the Certificate before it has reached maturity, you will incur a penalty.

What is the difference between a Certificate and an IRA Certificate?

Funds in a Certificate are available once the Certificate has reached maturity. In short, funds in an IRA Certificate are intended to be part of a diversified retirement strategy and are available for withdrawal without penalty once the account owner has reached the age of 59 ½.
