Board Election

Candidate Application Process

Pursuant to its bylaws, F&A Federal Credit Union opens its board election cycle each year to consider candidates to serve on its volunteer Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee. Board of Director service is a three-year term, and Supervisory Committee service is a one-year term. Both commence on April 1 and end March 31.

Members interested in serving on F&A’s Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee must apply. The Credit Union will accept applications through the filing deadline of 4:00 p.m. PST on Friday, October 31, 2025.

To submit an application, please download the fillable 2026 F&A Officials Application. Complete the application in its entirety and submit it to Victoria Hahn at HahnV@FAFCU.org no later than the filing deadline. To submit a paper application, please send an email request to HahnV@FAFCU.org or call (323) 980-5910. Late applications will not be accepted, and floor nominations are not permitted at the Annual Business Meeting.

Applications to serve on the elected Board of Directors will be reviewed by the Nomination Committee, comprised of the six Directors who are not actively seeking election. If necessary, the Nomination Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to review, select, or reject applications for the Board of Directors’ slate. Any applicant not recommended for the slate will have 45 days to petition the members.

Board of Directors Nomination by Petition

If a member has met the application deadline but is not selected by the Nomination Committee, they may apply to serve on the Board of Directors through the petition nomination process.

Petition instructions will be sent to qualified applicants via email no later than the end of the business day on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. To qualify for nomination by official petition, the F&A Federal Credit Union bylaws require the candidate to obtain signatures from 1% of the eligible voting members of the Credit Union, not to exceed 500 signatures. Applicants may not seek signatures on any property operated by the Credit Union. Completed, official petition documents must be sent by email to HahnV@FAFCU.org no later than 4:00 p.m. PST on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Should an election be necessary, ballots will be delivered to members by Friday, January 30, 2026, and must be received by the Credit Union no later than 4:00 p.m.PST on Friday, February 27, 2026, to be counted. In the event there is only a single nominee, a formal election will not be scheduled, and the election will occur by acclamation on December 16, 2025.

Applications to serve on the board-appointed Supervisory Committee must be received by the deadline and will be forwarded to the Board of Directors, who will evaluate the applications and appoint the Committee no later than the first week of February 2026. Note: Supervisory Committee members are appointed; therefore, the petition process does not apply.

The Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee members will be announced during the 90th Annual Business Meeting scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026.
