Keeping Your Account Secure

Discover the tools, resources, and practices F&A uses to safeguard your accounts and personal information.

Account Security

At F&A, protecting your financial well-being is our priority. Learn about our comprehensive security measures to keep your financial information secure.

  • Card Block: Log in to Digital Banking and navigate to Card Services to block your F&A credit or debit card and request the card be reissued with a new number.
  • Transaction Alerts:{{keep_account_secure}} Receive a message after a transaction is complete to help you track account activity. Set up additional alerts in Digital Banking Application> Tools menu.
  • EMV Chips: All F&A debit and credit cards contain anti-fraud EMV chip technology, which reduces fraud and complicates card counterfeiting.

F&A routinely asks for verification of members contacting the credit union. This is just one of the security measures taken when conducting business transactions.

Identity Theft

While F&A employs multiple safeguards to protect your accounts, it's important to know what steps to take if you suspect your personal information has been compromised.

  • Call F&A’s Member Contact Center at (800) 222-1226 for immediate assistance. If the Credit Union is closed, log in to Digital Banking to block your cards to prevent fraud.
  • Contact the fraud department of any one of the three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) to place a fraud alert on your credit file. You can also enable a credit freeze at no cost.
  • Close the accounts you know or believe to have been tampered with or opened fraudulently.
  • File an FTC ID Theft Affidavit at IdentityTheft.gov.
  • File a police report and get a copy.
  • For mail fraud, submit a complaint form with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
